Lava Lolegaon is a little slice of heaven surrounded by the mountains' cool misty mists. Lolegaon is a delightful village only 24 kilometres from Lava. This Lepcha settlement, at an elevation of 1675 metres, is recognised for its beautiful splendour. The magnificent view of the towering Kanchenjunga through the misty clouds is ideal for unwinding and planning your future holiday.

Rishyap

These two villages, Lava and Lolegaon, have equivalent climatic conditions. Because both of these villages are situated at a higher altitude, they enjoy cool and pleasant weather throughout the year. Evenings, on the other hand, can be frigid, even bitterly cold. The temperatures at Lava and Lolegaon do not vary significantly during the day. It is nice in the summer, cold in the winter, and receives a lot of rain during the monsoon season.

Summer in Lava and Lolegaon lasts from March to June, with maximum temperatures of 25 degrees Celsius and lowest temperatures ranging between 12 and 15 degrees Celsius. The sky is clear and crisp throughout these months, making it the finest time to see the Himalayan Range's snow-capped hills. During this time of year, tourist visits are at their peak. The temperature is temperate and pleasant during these months, and visiting here will help you avoid the hot summers of the plains.

Canopy Walk lo

Canopy Walk is the most attractive forest in Lolegaon, with hanging bridges hung from one tree to another. The wooden plank hanging bridges are high enough to provide you with the luxury of witnessing the untamed, unspoiled woodlands in all their grandeur.

Lava Monastery

Hundreds of monks reside and preach on a four-acre plot of land owned by the monastery. The monastery's architecture is identical to that of Tibetan monasteries. There are several prayer halls, grounds, resting spots, and a large Buddha statue at the site. 

Changey Falls la

Changey Falls is a beautiful waterfall between Tiffin Dhara and Ghanti Dhara, around 10 kilometres from Lava. The water is crystal clear, and hearing flowing water in the middle of hills and forests is an unforgettable experience. You'll also get to enjoy a short hike because there aren't many other options.

Lolegaon Viewpoint

The Lolegaon Viewpoint is situated on a ridge high above the town. The location provides a panoramic view of the Neora Valley National Park and the breathtaking snow-capped Himalayas in the distance. The location is wonderful, equipped with a small garden.

Neora Valley National Park

It is one of the richest biological zones in eastern India, covering an area of 88 square kilometres. It takes its name from the Neora River, which runs through it. Many portions of the park remain inaccessible due to the lush growth of forest cover. Neora Valley, commonly known as the elegant red panda's home, is part of a pristine natural habitat that is nestled amid rocky terrain. It is an essential wildlife zone because of its unique flora and fauna.

Rishyap

Rishyap is a picturesque, charming village in northern West Bengal's pure Neora Valley. Rishop, often known as Rishop, is a beautiful hill station about 4 kilometres uphill from Lava. Despite the fact that there are paved roads, it is recommended that you hike up because the roads are currently not sturdy enough for cars. The view is just as spectacular during the day, when the light plays tricks on the sky with a thousand different colours.
