You can visit a number of places in Takdah that are only a few kilometres away from your homestay during your stay. You can hire a car from Takdah to visit these locations. For a day trip, they would cost between Rs. 2500 and Rs. 3000 per car. The rates, however, vary significantly.
Takdah or Tukdah is Lepcha for "mist" or "fog." Takdah, a former British cantonment area near Darjeeling, lives up to its name by being surrounded by mist for the majority of the year. Consider a dreamy place where the sun and clouds delight in playing hide and seek and mist descends at its leisure. There are foggy nature trails, blooming orchids, chirping birds, and spectacular mountain views. Takdah encompasses all of these characteristics and more.
Takdah is only 28 kilometres from Darjeeling and is located at an elevation of 4000 feet. Despite its proximity to Darjeeling, it is still relatively undiscovered by tourists. This tranquil spot is also much cooler than the surrounding areas.

The Takdah Orchid Centre is a one-of-a-kind tourist attraction in Takdah. It had once been regarded as one of the best in Asia, but its allure had gradually faded. It is, however, now under government control and is in good condition. It is an exclusive sanctuary for the rarest and most diverse orchids.
Tinchuley, also known as Tinchule, is a mountain village in the vicinity of Darjeeling. Tinchuley is a peaceful and quiet village that provides the tranquillity and nature that most city dwellers crave. It has a number of attractions for tourists. Tinchuley Monastery is one of them, and it is also worth a visit.
The closest you can get to heaven is perched on a mountain slope amidst orange orchards overlooking the confluence of the Teesta and Rangeet Rivers. Bara Mangwa is a charming eco village in the Darjeeling district, on the western side of the Kalimpong hills, in the Teesta. It is well-known for its orange orchards.
The Ahal Dara View Point, also known as Ahal, is located on top of a mountain. The view from this vantage point is breathtaking, set among cinchona plantations. This is the place to take in the beauty of both the mountains and the gurgling Teesta River beneath.
A little pond on a hilltop at the Tukdah Forest range's hills, surrounded by gorgeous pine forest, serves as a Sacred water body. It's a fantastic area to wallow in nature and immerse yourself in its beauty because it's calm, quiet, and serene.
Siliguri is a distance of 60.4 kilometres. Between Takdah and Tinchuley is where the Homestay is. You can go to Takdah Cantonment or Tinchuley, both of which are renowned tourist destinations. Takdah will be simpler to reach if you arrive from Darjeeling or Siliguri, whilst Tinchuley will be closer if you arrive from Sikkim or Kalimpong. Our Homestay is roughly halfway between Takdah and Tinchuley, at a distance of around 3 kilometres. The lodging is easily identifiable because it is immediately on the major road. The nicest aspect about staying here is that Takdah, Tinchuley, and Chota Mangwa are all within easy reach. Within a 1 to 5 km radius, there are three upcoming and popular tourist destinations. Takdah is the closest town. Our Homestay is roughly a kilometre away from the major market. You can visit the Takdah Orchid Center or the old vintage British bungalows in Takdah. The Takdah Club was originally the centre of activities for British cinchona planters. This location is also worth seeing.
